Fatal Frame V Endings

Fatal Frame V has eight possible endings. For the first time in the series, each of the playable characters has multiple endings that they may obtain.

Yuri Kozukata

• Embrace Ending - Glance Ose Kurosawa while she is in her underwater form.
• Bride from Black Water Ending - Glance Ose Kurosawa while she is in her above-water form.

Ren Hojo

• Love After Death Ending - Choose the bride's token at the House of Joining and reach out.
• Alone in the Casket Ending - Choose the bride's token at the House of Joining and take a photo.
• Cherry Blossoms Ending - Choose the Bundle of White Hair at the House of Joining and defeat the spirit.
• In the Reliquary Ending - Choose the Bundle of White Hair at the House of Joining and let yourself be dragged into the casket

Miu Hinasaki

• The Shadowborn Ending - Don't photograph Miku Hinasaki at Twilit Peak.
• Waking up to Dreams Ending - Photograph Miku Hinasaki at Twilit Peak.

Misc. Info

• The default ending song is Higanbana by AnJu. Torikago -In This Cage- by Tsuki Amano will play instead if Yuri has her kimono costume equipped (2014 original) or if she is wearing the "In This Cage" Ring accessory (2021 remaster).
• None of the endings are currently considered canon; the true endings may be decided upon in future games. However, director Makoto Shibata did state on Twitter that he feels since the game's theme is water, the characters ought to shed tears in the end.
