Helpful Ghosts

Helpful Ghosts are ghosts found within the Fatal Frame Series that guide the player and help them out when solving the mystery of what occurred. For the most part, these ghosts are not antagonistic and do not attack the player.

Fatal Frame

• White Kimono helps Miku Hinasaki break the Rope Curse. She also tried to protect Mikoto Munakata from the ghosts in the Himuro Mansion.

Fatal Frame II / Deep Crimson Butterfly

• Itsuki Tachibana tries to help Yae (Mio Amakura) rescue Sae (Mayu Amakura) from the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual and escape Minakami Village.
• Azami Kiryu appears to Mio Amakura in the Kiryu House and shows her where her sister hid all the doll parts.

Fatal Frame III

• Amane Kuze aids Rei Kurosawa, Miku Hinasaki, and Kei Amakura in their quest to break the Tattooed Curse.
• A pair of twin shrine maidens lead Kei through the Minakami Village section of the Manor of Sleep.

Fatal Frame IV

• Miya guides Misaki Asou and tries to help her remember who she is and what happened to her ten years ago.
• Sayaka Minazuki helps her daughter, Ruka Minazuki, to remember her past and complete the ritual.

Spirit Camera

• Maya works together with the player to investigate the purple diary and learn the truth about the Woman in Black.
