Honoka Mikomori is a ghost featured in Fatal Frame V. She was a trainee Maiden of Black Water living on Mount Hikami, and was learning to glance into people's souls, although she still had to touch them to do it. She was stabbed from behind by Kyozo Kururugi, a man who killed all of the maidens on the mountain. He appeared out of nowhere, blinding her with his knife while she was still alive and setting her adrift in the Pool of Purification.
A scene in the Last Drop shows her witnessing the death of Kirika Reizen, then stabbing herself in the stomach and falling to the ground. Since Honoka died at the hands of Kururugi, this scene remains unexplained.
