Manor of Sleep
(Redirected from House of Sleep)
|
The Manor of Sleep is the dream-world version of the Kuze Shrine. Victims afflicted by the Tattooed Curse see this house within their dreams. The victims always see it as it was when the shrine was active, during the snowy season, which was the only time of year that visitors were allowed to enter.[1] The victims follow their deceased loved ones deeper and deeper inside in the hope that they will be reunited.[2] The last Tattooed Priestess, Reika Kuze, unable to sleep, wanders the hallways and curses those who regret surviving.

Misc. Info
- The Manor of Sleep draws on memories and experiences of Tattooed Curse victims. Consequently, some rooms from Fatal Frame's Himuro Mansion and Fatal Frame II's Minakami Village appear in the manor when Miku Hinasaki and Mio Amakura begin suffering from the dreaming sickness.
- The Manor of Sleep is inspired by the ruins of an abandoned house Makoto Shibata used to play in as a child.[3]
