Kirika Reizen is a ghost featured in Fatal Frame V. She visited Mt. Hikami to end her life as a pilgrim and return to the water, and a Maiden of Black Water watched over her as she slit her throat. Scenes glanced by Yuri Kozukata show the shrine maiden catching Kirika in her arms as she fell, and then stabbing herself in the stomach with the same knife.
After her suicide, Kirika became tainted by the black water, endlessly repeating her death and beckoning others to die as well. She appears in a white kimono, holding the knife which she used to slice her throat open. Fuyuhi Himino finds Kirika's knife lying in the river as she wanders alone through the Unfathomable Forest, and when she picks it up she sees Kirika's blood-covered ghost cutting her throat. Kirika controls the knife and forces Fuyuhi to kill herself in the same way.
