In Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, the information previously recorded in Mio's Memo was moved to the game file, along with the Fatal Frame II Remake Spirit List, and its authorship is no longer attributed to Mio. Unlike previous versions of the game, entries are retained permanently once unlocked, not overwritten or wiped at the end of the game. The notes Twin Shrine Maidens, Crimson Sacrifice, The Repentance, Chitose Tachibana, Folklorist and Twin Doll appear to have been removed.
