Migaeri

Migaeri (水帰り, "returning to the water") is a term that appears in Fatal Frame V. It was what followers of Mount Hikami's religion used to refer to the act of dying. Long ago, it was said on the mountain that people were born from, and would return to, the water. For this reason, they believed that when people died on the mountain, wet with its water, their souls would return to the water and they would die "properly", which they called Migaeri, avoiding the stigma attached to other forms of suicide.
