Delivery Haunted House "Screaming Ambulance" Zero Edition (デリバリーお化け屋敷 絶叫救急車Ver.零) was a temporary haunted house attraction created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fatal Frame's release in Japan. The event featured a haunted ambulance set with 3D sound, where visitors could experience using a Camera Obscura to capture a ghost that appeared in front of them, with one chance to get a Fatal Frame shot. Visitors could keep the photo they took during the event as a souvenir. The length of the experience was about twenty minutes.[1]

Story
About 40 years ago, an ambulance from Kurosawa General Hospital went missing.
In the present day, a battered and decaying ambulance is found deep in the woods.
Inside, an old cassette tape was found, along with a photo of a woman who was probably being transported to hospital.
Listen to the cassette tape and find out for yourself what really happened in this ambulance...
The concept was based on the idea that there was a hospital near Himuro Mansion, and the ambulance reappeared with something frightening inside. According to Keisuke Kikuchi, "If you are familiar with the series, you will find elements and characters that will make you smile, but of course you can enjoy it even if you are not."[1] Promotional pictures show a woman with ropes tied around her limbs, and an ambulance interior bedecked with dangling ropes and Japanese dolls.
Development
The event was designed by Kowagarasetai (怖がらせ隊, Scare Squad), a company that produces temporary horror attractions and mobile haunted houses, after they contacted Koei-Tecmo to propose a collaboration. The company's representative director, Ayaka Imaide, had been on the CG modelling team for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, and had dreamed of creating a Fatal Frame-themed haunted house ever since. Keisuke Kikuchi and Koei-Tecmo were reassured by her enduring love for the series and agreed to the collaboration. Imaide suggested including a Camera Obscura as a nod to the most unique feature of the series, and the props and text were checked by Keisuke Kikuchi and Makoto Shibata. The sound design also includes music and sound effects from the original Fatal Frame soundtrack.[1]
