Regarding the patient in the fourth floor isolation ward:
I'll be carrying out observations today, but I fear that her condition has progressed to a nearly hopeless stage.
As is so often the case when a strong channeler with keen spiritual sensitivity contracts Getsuyuu Syndrome, her symptoms are particularly severe.
She's probably the best example of the phenomenon. As I write this, her mind is on the verge of collapse.
She has been maintaining a modicum of self-awareness by regarding dolls as parts of herself. I believe that this fixation on various dolls may enable her to stabilize her ever-fluid ego by projecting it into this "yorishiro"-like object.
(Regarding a doll as part of yourself as a means of organizing disordered memories is perhaps a method we could teach other patients.)
However, despite the dolls' effectiveness in the short-term, practically speaking they have only slightly delayed her inevitable collapse.
The director is ardently searching for an effective treatment, but there is so much he has already tried...
Further efforts may serve only to torment her...

Additional Information
A yorishiro is a physical object capable of drawing the presence of a spirit, usually a kami, for a temporary period, especially ritual ceremonies. By using the doll as a vessel for a part of her own spirit, the doll is able to "speak" to her and remind her of things, such as her own name.[1] Many characters in this game seem to naturally seek out yorishiro-like objects, such as Kazuto Amaki's fixation on the mask from the dining room.[2]
