Three limited edition Fatal Frame-themed phone cards were released in Japan as a bonus for people who purchased the games from Sofmap (a Japanese electronics store).[1] They are now a rarity and only available on second-hand sites. The first, released to promote Fatal Frame II, shows Mio and Mayu Amakura, with a ghostly hand reaching for Mio's throat. The second, released to promote the Xbox version of Fatal Frame II, shows Mio and Mayu in one of their unlockable bikini costumes, relaxing on a beach. The third, released to promote Fatal Frame III, shows Rei Kurosawa and Miku Hinasaki with the tattoo spreading over their skin.
All three cards have the same information and barcode (4955595100160) on the back. The main difference between them is the alphanumeric code in the top left corner of the back and the product code on the front at the bottom.
