A large shrine near the summit of Mt. Hikami. It is thought to have been the main shrine of the local faith, but little is known about it. In the brief period that the mountain was visited by tourists, the shrine doors stood open, and people could admire the countless lanterns in the main hall.
The shrine was abandoned after the closure of the cable car line. Remains of shrine maidens are said to be found in the inner rooms. Some say if one passes by the shrine on a foggy day, the lanterns will be lit and a Maiden of Black Water will be waiting.

幽ノ宮（かくれのみや）
日上山の頂上付近にある大きな社。
日上山信仰の中心地だったと伝えられ
ているが、詳しいことは不明。
観光地化されていた時期は入り口が
開放され、多くの燈籠が吊るされた拝殿を
見物に観光客が訪れていた。
ケーブルカーが廃線となった現在では
閉鎖され、無人となっている。
建物の奥に、日上山信仰を開いた
巫女の即身仏が祭られている、という
言い伝えがあり、霧の深い日に燈籠に
火が点され、入り口に立つ濡鴉ノ巫女
を見たという噂が絶えない。
