ENJA

A camera with the power to expose that which normally remains hidden.

Invented by Dr. Kunihiko Aso, a researcher of the occult. The special film it uses captures traces of beings which are not of the world of the living.

Several of these cameras exist, but as each was made as a prototype their appearance and capabilities differ. Most of them are broken now and no one knows how to repair them.

The cameras are highly sought after by collectors, despite rumors of them being cursed. The collectors either see that as another unique property and a risk worth taking, or they discredit such talk as mere superstition.

Just like Hisoka there are people who use the cameras as tools for specialist work. However, such people tend to already have the ability to sense the ephemeral. Some say that the broken cameras aren't broken at all: the users do not have the ability to make them work.

射影機（しゃえいき）

「ありえないもの」を写すといわれている
古い写真機。

科学者「麻生邦彦」が、異界を研究
する過程で作り出したもので、現世とは
違う世界、違う理で存在するものたちを
特殊なフィルムに写し撮ることができる。


複数の個体、型式が現存するが、全て
「試作品」であり、その形や機能は個体
により異なる。

現存するもののほとんどが壊れているか、
あるいは何をもって「正しい動作」とする
のか分からないため、その構造や原理は
解明されていない。


長い間、好事家たちの間でのみ、その
存在が噂され、密やかに取引されてきた。

「持つ者を不幸にする」と言われているが、
好事家の間では、その不幸な来歴すら
価値の一つとして見られており、所有者
の末路について、真偽の定まらない様々
な噂が記録されている。


密花の「影見」のように、射影機を「道具」
として使用する職業や人々もいろが、その
ほとんどは使用者に「異界を見る
素養」があると言われている。

そのため、全ての射影機は壊れているの
ではなく、「使うものに素養が無ければ
動作しない、あるいは効果が理解でき
ない」と言う骨董商もいる。
