There are certain factors that may cause Moonlight Syndrome patients to to Bloom.
On Rogetsu Isle, it is said that there is a stage before blooming called "utsusemi", or "Empty Vessel".
It is said that Blooming only occurs in this empty state.
"Empty Vessel" refers to a state of oblivion that is achieved through the dance and sound of the festival.
This is similar to the loss of memory in Getsuyuu Syndrome.
The similarity between the two conditions could be the key to understanding Getsuyuu Syndrome.

月幽病患者が咲いてしまうのには、
ある要因が考えられる。
朧月島では、咲く前の段階として
「空身（うつせみ）」という
状態があるといわれている。
この空身があって、
はじめて咲くのだという。
空身とは、祭事における舞踊、
音によって得られる
忘我状態のことをいう。
このことは、月幽病における
記憶の喪失と類似している。
共通項を持った二つの状態に、
月幽病治療の突破口が
あるかもしれない。
