The place where the wedding ceremonies for shrine maidens who became Pillars were held.

The House of Joining exists between our world and the Netherworld, and is where sacrificed maidens were wed to men brought to the mountain.

Only men chosen as suitable grooms could find the house. Once inside, they would first choose a maiden from among those whose votive pictures were hung on the wall.

They would proceed to the Chamber of Vows, where their chosen bride would be waiting. Again, only the groom would be allowed into the chamber. Afterwards, the bride would return to her casket with the groom in tow, in order to spend eternity there with him as a Pillar.

結ノ家（むすびのいえ）

柱となった巫女たちの婚礼が行われる家。

既に柱として柩籠に入れられている巫女と、
マレビトとして山に招かれた男が契りを
結ぶ家であり、それは現世と
隠世の間にある場所であるという。


その屋敷には招かれた者でなければ入る
ことはおろか、見つけることもできない。

屋敷内に招かれたマレビトは、待っている
巫女たちの絵馬から、ひとりの巫女を選び、
契りを結ぶ。


婚礼の間、屋敷の奥にある「契りの間」に
入ることができるのは、花婿であるマレビト
のみであり、その時、選ばれた巫女は
その瞬間だけ結ノ家に現れる。

花嫁となった巫女は花婿を伴って
再び柩籠の中へ入り、柱として沈められた
場所に戻っていく。
