Ren roams Mt. Hikami, following Dr. Asou's memories. The trail leads him to his own Ghost Marriage.

The bride Ren has chosen is waiting for him in the House of Joining. It's the white-haired girl, Shiragiku.

They enter the reliquary, where Ren turns into a young Dr. Asou. In this way, the vow he made to her is fulfilled. Now, Shiragiku remembers the first time they met, and pushes him away, choosing to remain alone as a Pillar.

Ren wakes up outside Kagiroi Shrine, where Dr. Asou used to play with Shiragiku when they were children.

麻生博士の記憶を追い、
日上山を彷徨う蓮。

それは、麻生邦彦が残した想いたちを辿り、
彼を幽婚へと導く道程だった。

辿りついた「結ノ家」の奥、契りの間の
前で蓮が選んだ契りの相手は、
麻生を待ち続けていた白髪の少女、
白菊（しらぎく）。


白菊と共に匪に入った蓮は、少年の頃の
麻生博士の姿になっていた。
白菊との幼い約束は果たされた。
しかし、麻生少年と出会った時の記憶を
思い出した白菊は、一人で柱になることを
選び、麻生少年を匪から解放する。

気がつくと蓮は、自分、そして麻生博士が
幼い頃に遊んだ陽炎神社（かぎろい
じんじゃ）の境内に立ち尽くしていた。
