A 19th century scientist. He was interested in the invisible, the intangible, such as ghosts and the Netherworld. His research led him to construct the Camera Obscura, a camera capable of photographing things not of the world of the living.
He was an outcast in the scientific community and few of his research papers remain.
He made several Camera Obscuras, misplacing some, and entrusting others to his friends. His cameras are highly sought-after antiques.

麻生 邦彦（あそう くにひこ）
江戸末期～明治初期に活動していた
科学者。
「魂や霊魂」と言われる、「目に見えないが
実在すると思われる存在」や、
「常世・隠世」など、それにまつわる
「異界」の研究を進めるうちに、
「ありえないもの」を写す射影機という
カメラを開発した。
科学者としては異端とされており、その
著書や研究の記録はあまり残されて
いない。
日本各地を周るかたわら、作った射影機を
現地に託してきたり、異界を研究する知人に
贈ったりしたため、いくつかの射影機は現存し
骨董市場では稀にリストに載るという。

Kunihiko grew up in a town near Mt. Kagiroi.
There he befriended the young shrine maiden Shiragiku. She was chosen to be sent to Mt. Hikami as a sacrifice. Kunihiko was tasked with obtaining a lock of her hair as a token during the sacrificial ceremony.
After becoming a scientist he traveled all over, photographing the places he visited and the people he met.
The residents of Mt. Hikami invited him to photograph the shrine maidens, as his Camera Obscura was rumored to capture the souls of the subjects.
He took a photo of Ose Kurosawa, and just as she stole his heart, he trapped hers in a photograph. He then left, taking her soul with him.
He never went back, and it is unclear whether he recalled his time with Ose Kurosawa, or his past with Shiragiku.
麻生 邦彦（あそう くにひこ）
幼い頃、日上山とは別の陽炎山
（かぎろいやま）の近くで育った。
少年時代の麻生は、そこで幼巫女の
「白菊」と知り合う。その後に、彼女が
人柱として日上山に送られる儀式で、
彼女の髪を切り、寄香を受け取る
役目を担った。
その後。科学者として独立した研究を
始める以前、書生時代に「異界」の
研究とフィールドワークを兼ねて各地を
回り、写真を撮り歩いていた麻生は、
日上山での「弔写真」撮影の依頼を
受ける。
試作中だった射影機で撮影した写真は
「魂をも写す」と話題となっていた。
麻生は山に入り、黒澤逢世の写真を
撮る。その時、逢世に心を奪われるが、
同時に写真として逢世の魂を写し撮り、
山から持ち帰ってしまうこととなる。
その後も彼は異界の研究に没頭して
行くが、その奥底に、逢世や白菊への
想いがあったのかは不明である。
