Ren roams Mt. Hikami, following Dr. Asou's memories. The trail leads him to his own Ghost Marriage.
The bride Ren has chosen is waiting for him in the House of Joining. It's the bride from the photo, Ose Kurosawa.
As Ren embraces Ose, the scene changes and now it's Dr. Aso standing there with Ose. Kunihiko tells Ose how he feels. She disappears, happy.
She returns to the darkness to continue serving as a Pillar. Ren is allowed to leave the mountain.

麻生博士の記憶を追い、
日上山を彷徨う蓮。
それは、麻生邦彦が残した想いたちを辿り、
彼を幽婚へと導く道程だった。
辿りついた「結ノ家」の奥、契りの間の
前で蓮が選んだ契りの相手は、
弔い写真の花嫁、黒澤逢世。
蓮が逢世を抱きしめた瞬間、蓮は
麻生博士の姿になっていた。
逢世に想いを告げた麻生博士。
その言葉を聞いた逢世は、
一人消えていった。
逢世は再び闇に戻って柱となり、
蓮は山から解放された。
