Once every ten years on Rougetsu Island, an ancient ceremony is conducted by shrine maidens wearing masks.

"Kanade" perform the music and the "Utsuwa" performs the Kagura dance.
This has recently become a tourist attraction.

Islanders invariably return on the day of the Kagura.
