After years of abuse she made several suicide attempts before finally running away from home.

Before that, she ran into Ayane who was deeply moved by the girl's anguish, and felt a close connection to her.

Tsumugi was drawn to Mt. Hikami and there almost died. Ayane saved her and inspired her to face up to her family, and to believe in herself.
