"Moonlight Syndrome"
Named by Dr. Shigeto Haibara, director of the Haibara Clinic, "Getsuyuu Syndrome" refers to a general memory disorder that is often seen around Rogetsu Isle.
First, there is the symptom of wandering on moonlit nights. This is also the reason why Getsuyuu Syndrome was originally called "possessed walking" or, alternatively, "moon walking" in the local dialect.
On Rogetsu Isle, and even on the mainland to a lesser extent, it is known as a strange disease that causes people to wander off on moonlit nights.
The causal relationship between moonlit nights and wandering has yet to be explained.
Note:
The phrases 憑き歩き (possessed walking) and 月歩き (moon walking) are homophones, both pronounced "tsuki aruki" in Japanese.
