Kagomorido (駕籠守堂) is a long-established business in Toyama which manufactures Herbal Medicine.[1] According to an insert included with the KTSpot Herbal Medicine and Tin Badge merchandise, it was founded by Zenbei Kagomori in around 1737; he claimed to have received the recipe and method for creating the medicine from the spirit of his recently-deceased wife, and used it to end a plague spreading through his home village. Later, Yakuro Kagomori had the idea to sweeten the flavour and change the characters of the medicines name to reference the Manyoshu. Kagomorido Herbal Medicine was sold by pedlars throughout Japan, gaining a reputation for supporting both physical and spiritual health.

Misc. Info

  • All Herbal Medicine designs since the first Fatal Frame have featured a small but illegible maker's mark. While redesigning the items for Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, developers created a new maker's mark and included the history of the business in supplementary material.
