箪笥は引き出すから見つけた写真に、気になるものが写っている。緒方氏のメモにあった、ここに住んでいたという民俗学者の子供たちのだろうか。相当古い写真で、子供たちが鬼ごっこをしている者だ。写真の隅に、白い着物を着た幼い少女が薄ら写り込んでいる。この少女はこちらを指差し、その目は何か訴えているように思える。
