Function: Plays film on which supernatural images are recorded
The Projector was a device invented by Dr. Kunihiko Asou. It was made using the same technology as the Camera Obscura. It was able to play back supernatural images recorded on film reels that could not be seen using normal equipment.
After Asou's death, devices such as the projector (known by now as "Mystical Science") were highly sought after by enthusiasts, and ended up scattered all over the country.

Fatal Frame II / Deep Crimson Butterfly
- In the Kiryu and Tachibana houses in Minakami Village.
Fatal Frame III
- In the Projection Room, accessed through the Bell Hallway inside the Manor of Sleep.
Fatal Frame IV
- In the centre of the dining room of Rougetsu Hall.
