Fatal Frame II

Mio's Memo: Itsuki
Obtained: Chapter VIII, after entering the Storehouse for the first time.
Replaces: Trapped Boy

Itsuki Tachibana, is "The Remaining". He was left behind by his twin after the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual the year before The Repentance. Itsuki loved his twin Mutsuki so much that the ritual ended up in failure, and a year later it was Yae and Sae's turn to perform the ritual.

Itsuki, who made a pact with Mutsuki not to let the same thing happen to Yae and Sae, wrote a letter to his friend Ryozo, asking him to help after their escape. Keeping his promise to Mutsuki, Itsuki distracted the villagers. He was locked up in a cell and committed suicide.

Sae was captured after Itsuki's death, and when she saw what happened to him, she wept, saying "It's all our fault! We shouldn't have tried to escape!"

Fatal Frame: Deep Crimson Butterfly

Mio's Notes: Itsuki Tachibana
Obtained: Chapter VIII, after entering the Storehouse for the first time.
Replaces: MM:Trapped Boy

In the year before the Repentance, Itsuki Tachibana took part in the Crimson Sacrifice Festival. He was to be the Remaining.

Although Itsuki carried out his role in the ceremony, it proved a failure as his love for his twin brother, Mutsuki, proved too strong.

To make up for this failure, the Crimson Sacrifice Festival was to be held the following year with Yae and Sae.

Before their own ceremony, Itsuki and Mutsuki had vowed that they would never allow Sae and Yae to suffer the same fate that they had.

Itsuki sent a letter to his childhood friend, Ryozo Munakata, asking him to look after the twin girls after they escaped the village. Itsuki then fulfilled his promise to his brother by acting as a decoy while the girls escaped. He was captured by the villagers, imprisoned in the storehouse, and took his own life.

After Itsuki's death, Sae was captured, and when she saw his body, she was overcome with grief and regret: 'If I hadn't tried to escape, this would never have happened...'
