I wonder how many days it's been since I came to this village? It's probably no more than two or three, but it feels like several years.
This village's perpetual night makes it nigh-on impossible to keep track of time.
Miyako is completely exhausted, and though she sometimes tries to smile, it's obvious that she's in pain.
She must be pushing her limits, both physically and emotionally.
I still haven't found a way out of the village, but I've found some documents that may finally provide us with a clue if I could just get them cleaned up.
There is said to be a large cavern, known as the deep path, running under the village and connecting various locations within it.
This cavern is used to access houses in the village during the ceremony, and has long been used as a place to store important and valuable things.
The documents I read do not mention the scale of this cavern, but it could well contain a way out of the village.
I haven't yet been able to find anything that mentions where the entrance to this deep path might be, but I feel confident that there are clues to be found in the Kurosawa house. They are the ones who have most to do with the ceremony, after all.
I've decided to leave Miyako here and investigate the Kurosawa house by myself.
Once I've found a way out of the village, I'll come back for her and we can leave this place together.

この村に入って何日が過ぎたのだろう。
まだニ、三日くらいのようでもあるし、
もう何年も経っているような気もしてくる。
夜の明けないこの村では、時間の感覚が
あやふやになってしまう。
美也子はつかれ果て、ぐったりしている。
時折こちらを見て弱々しい笑みをみせて
くれるが、その姿すら痛々しい。
そろそろ体力的、精神的にも限界だろう。
この村の外へ出る方法はまだ見つかって
いないが、今までに見つけたこの村の資料
をあらいなおし、ようやく手がかりとなり
そうな記述を見つけた。
この村の地下には「深道」と呼ばれる巨大な
地下通路が存在し、村の各要所はその通路
によって結ばれているらしい。
それらは、儀式の時に各屋敷を行き来したり
重要なものを保存する場所として古くから
利用されていたようだ。
この地下通路がどのくらいの規模なのかは
書面からはうかがい知ることはできなかっ
たが、外に繋がる道が見つかるかもしれな
い。
深道の入口に関する文章は残念ながら
見つからなかった。
しかし、この村の祭り全てを司るという
「黒澤家」ならば、この地下通路への道の、
手がかりくらいは得られるだろう。
私は美也子をここに残し、ひとりで
黒澤家の調査に向かうことを決めた。
必ず外への出口を見つけて美也子のもとに
戻ってくる。
