Once the two maidens face one another, the bridge to the underground shall open.
The mechanism of the twin maidens uses an automaton clock with 12 notches, the kind introduced from western lands.
The maidens of House Kiryu move like so:
Press on the right, and the right maiden shall move to the right 1.5 notches.
So shall the left maiden move to the right 1.5 notches.
Press on the left, and the right maiden shall move to the left 1.5 notches.
The left maiden shall move to the left 3 notches.
The maidens of House Tachibana move like so:
Press on the right, and the right maiden shall move to the right 1 notch.
The left maiden shall move to the right 1.5 notches.
Press on the left, and the right maiden shall move to the left 2 notches.
The left maiden shall move to the left 4.5 notches.
