Back outside, Mio spots Mayu traversing a high walkway between the Twin Houses. While the walkway is accessible from the Kiryu House, the door on the other side is locked, so Mio goes to look for another way in. In the village cemetery, she finds the key to the main entrance of the Kiryu House, and goes inside.
In order to access the Earthly Bridge and reach her sister, she must repair the doll mechanism in the Kiryu House by finding doll parts scattered around the house. As she searches, she finds notes left behind by a former member of the Kiryu Family, the dollmaker Yoshitatsu Kiryu, and his daughter Akane, a Remaining.
Mio manages to repair the mechanism, but encounters Sae Kurosawa in the Earth Bridge. As she escapes, she drops the Camera Obscura and Flashlight.
In-Game Summary
Mio returns to the storehouse, but Mayu is nowhere to be found. Realizing the pair are reenacting the tragic history of the twin maidens, she searches desperately for Mayu, who has gone to the Tachibana house. To get there, Mio enters the Kiryu house, which is connected to the Earthly Bridge.
