You'd think I'd be too tense to ever fall asleep in a place like this, but the moment I lose focus, I always seem to pass out. Maybe I'm just that exhausted.

In my dreams, I see this darkness encroaching upon the village.

I see the massacre. I see vast pools of blood and bodies stacked on top of them.

I see a woman in a blood-soaked kimono, laughing a deranged laugh.

And I see a pair of twins, young girls begging for their lives to be spared.

I can still hear that woman's laughter ringing inside my ears.



I don't want to fall asleep again. I'm too scared.
