Obtained: Final Chapter, after defeating the Kusabi
When the seal on the Hellish Abyss was completely broken, darkness spilled out from its depths. This calamity was called "The Repentance". All God's Village was covered in this darkness from the Hellish Abyss and sealed there permanently. No one could escape its endless night...
Some villagers were swallowed up by the Hellish Abyss's darkness and died in madness. Others committed suicide rather than face such hell. Sae and the Kusabi, returned from the Hellish Abyss, began slaughtering survivors.
They said Sae's maniacal laughter could be heard from beyond the village...
And that is how the village came to be deserted. From the outside, the village covered in darkness now only appears to be a forest shrouded in thick fog. But whenever there's an earthquake in the region, more darkness spills from the Hellish Abyss and spreads...

Obtained: Final Chapter, after defeating the Kusabi
When the Abyss is fully opened, unspeakable darkness spills forth from its depths. This is the Repentance.
The village was covered by this darkness, light drained from it forever.
No one can escape the village, and it exists in a state of perpetual night.
Those unfortunate souls who were consumed by the darkness were witness to the depths of hell, and were driven to madness by the sheer horror of what they had seen. There were many who chose death rather than recall those sights.
Resurrected from the depths of the Abyss, Sae and the last Kusabi walked again, slaying the remaining villagers without pity.
On that day, the sound of a woman's demonic laughter was carried on the wind, and could be heard far beyond the village.
This is how the village was wiped out, drained of life and light.
All that remained of the village was a deep mist that hung above the forest.
Every time there is a tremor in the region, the Abyss opens wider and the mist that hangs above the forest spreads.
大償
虚の封印が完全にとける時、虚の中の闇が
あふれだす。これが大償（おおつぐない）
である。
村は虚から吹き出した闇に覆われ、永遠の
闇に閉ざされた。
村を覆いつくした闇からは誰も出ることは
出来ず、ひたすら夜が続くのである。
人々は、虚から広がった闇にのみ込まれ、
その中で黄泉を見て狂死していった。
黄泉を見てしまう恐ろしさにたえられず
自ら死を選ぶものもいた。
そして、虚からよみがえった紗重と楔が、
生き残った村人を次々と虐殺していった。
その日、死んで行く村人を見ながら狂笑する
女の笑い声が村の外にまで響き渡ったという。
こうして、村には誰もいなくなってしまった。
闇に覆われた村は、村の外から見ると、ただ
霧深い森が広がるだけになっていた。
この地方に地震が起きるたびに、虚の闇は
ふき出し、広がって行く。
