Mio's Memo: Twin Doll
Obtained: Chapter VI, Kiryu House, after defeating the spirit of the Doll Maker

Long before The Repentance, the twin Kiryu daughters had to perform the Crimson Sacrifice. To comfort Akane, The Remaining, her father created a doll just like the mudered twin, Azami. But when he discovered the doll had become possessed by Azami's spirit* he vowed to destroy it. But Mr. Kiryu never managed to destroy the doll. In the end, his daughter Akane, controlled by the possessed doll, strangled and killed him.

• Note: This memo contradicts other in-game text and a note on the spirit list that say the doll is possessed by an evil spirit, not Azami herself.

Mio's Notes: The Twin Doll
Obtained: Chapter VI, Kiryu House, after defeating the spirit of the Doll Maker

Long before the time of the Repentance, the head of the Kiryu Family offered his twin daughters up as the Crimson Sacrifice. The Remaining was called Akane, and she mourned the loss of Azami, the sister she had murdered. To ease her distress, her father created a doll identical to his lost daughter.

But watching the doll speak to Akane night after night, he knew it had managed to come alive and he vowed to destroy it.

But in the end, he could not destroy the doll, which was now in control of his living daughter, making her strangle her own father.

双子の人形


大償が起こるずっと前のことである。
紅贄として双子の娘を差し出した桐生家の
当主は、鬼隻（きせき）となり心を壊した
娘、茜（あかね）を慰めるため、殺された
薊（あざみ）そっくりの人形を作った。

しかし、作った人形がよなよな茜と話してい
るのを見て、生き人形「躯（むくろ）」と
なった薊を壊すことを決意する。


しかし、最後は人形を壊すことはできず、
躯に操られた娘の茜に首をしめられ、
殺されてしまう。
