There's a languid air to this hospital, now.

Hospital staff dying in accidents...
Patients vanishing...
It's been one misfortune after another.

...Since that day, the patients' behavior just gets more and more bizarre.

This dismal atmosphere is smothering us all, doctors and nurses alike.

Ms. Tono's duties on the third floor have fallen to me until someone new can be brought in.

As soon as I took over, I was informed that a patient was leaving the hospital - one of the children that was kidnapped.

While I was cleaning out her room, I found her mother's diary

I heard they were planning on leaving the island, so I doubt they'll be coming back for it.

...Even if they now associate this place with painful memories, it's still where they were born and raised.

I'll keep it safe, just in case they come back someday.

この病院によどんだ空気が流れている。

⋯病院関係者の事故死。
⋯入院患者の神隠し。
突如立て続けに発生した不幸。

⋯あの日以来
患者達の行動は異様さを
増して来たように思う。

看護婦も医者も、陰鬱な空気に
押しつぶされそうだ。

三階担当の遠野さんが
亡くなってしまった為、
新しい人が入るまでの間
私が遠野さん担当を
引き継ぐことになった。

引き継ぎ早々、患者が病院を去ると
連絡があった。
神隠しにあって無事発見された子。

その子の部屋を整理していたら、
母親の日記が見つかった。
その母子は島を出るらしいから、
もう取りに来ることはないだろう。

⋯つらい思い出がある島でも、
生まれ育った場所。

いつか帰ってくるかもしれない。
その時まで、大切に預かって
おくことにしよう。
