There are invisible shadows that only psychics can see.
I have developed several prototypes of my "Camera Obscura" in order to capture these clues serving as links to the Other World, such as the souls of the dead and localized residual thoughts. And I believe that I can improve it further still.
Through my research, I have found that the paints used in the making of masks on Rougetsu Island seem to aid in the capturing of these shadows on film.
Thanks to this selfsame research, I am now convinced that a power exceeding even my own expectations dwells within the Camera Obscura.
Photographing these "shadows" using the Camera Obscura has an intense effect upon them.
In my opinion, this effect appears similar to what psychics refer to as "exorcism".
I should add that my personal experiences on the island profoundly influenced my arrival at this bold conclusion.
I decided to donate a Camera Obscura to the owner of these lodgings without proffering an explanation.
I cannot help but think that the power of the Camera Obscura may one day be needed on this island.
I hope my fears are unfounded.
