The masks of the Yomotsuki craftsmen are a gateway to the Afterlife.
The Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is the ideal mask.

This mask represents the moon, meaning the spirits of the dead, but also the mask that devours the moonlight.
In other words, the mask connects the soul to the Afterlife.
