We played with the other girl in that house with the candles.
The one who's always with the red butterfly.
It was the first time she ever talked.
It was the first time she could hear us, too, we think.
She looked kind of happy.
But also kind of sad.
Because "we're not beautiful butterflies."
What does that mean? Is it some kind of new game?
She's taught us all kinds of games. Old games that everybody's forgotten about.
I wonder if that kid will come to play again.
We promised to play at the tombstone next time.
I can't wait.
Sadly, everyone
died the next day.
