It has been one week since the failure of the Kiraigou.

The condition of the Kanade has been stabilized by limiting their exposure to all external stimuli save for the light of the Moonbeam Well.

However, the situation remains precarious as they are hanging on by only a thread.

Even something subtle could trigger a rapid deterioration, leading to psychosomatic death. In the worst case scenario, it's even possible that they could bloom.

The trigger could be anything. A sound, a smell, a phrase, the lunar cycle... There's so much we don't know.

In all probability, the trigger will be the resurfacing of a memory from before or during the Kiraigou...

Addendum:
During observations, she will sometimes place her hand on my face and repeatedly stroke my cheek. This may suggest that her memory has not been completely erased after all.

咲くこともありうるだろう。


きっかけが何かはわからない。
音、におい、言葉、月の満ち欠け・・・
まだわからない点も多い。

しかし、帰来迎以前のこと、
そして帰来迎のことを思い出すことは、
その「きっかけ」になってしまう可能性が高い。


追記：
　観察途中に、私の頬に手を当てて
　なでるような動作を繰り返すことがある。

　完全に記憶が消去されている
　わけではないようだ。
