- This note is ambiguous in Japanese, with the sentences not specifying to whom faces belong. There are several ways to interpret each line. For now, the note reflects Madoka warning the reader not to look at her own face, which she no longer recognizes. This choice was made because the note is found just prior to Ruka turning Madoka from a corner and looking at her face, leading to Ruka's onset of Getsuyuu Syndrome moments later, making the note sound eerie before the encounter, but ultimately prophetic.
- "Those two" refers to Marie and Tomoe
