Jun Takakura
Jun Takakura is a character in Fatal Frame: Shadow Priestess. He is a junior in the Study of Modern Architecture seminar which Sara Washizuki attends, and is curious about Tousei Ryuuzaki's supernatural photos. He is known for being habitually late, and also for chasing girls, much to the displeasure of Midori Hazawa, who repeatedly threatens him with violence if he behaves inappropriately. He and Kumi Suzumori exchange flirtatious remarks on their arrival at Karasawa Village, but that evening, Kumi disappears.
The next day, in spite of Kumi's disappearance, the group goes to Karasawa Elementary. A manifestation of evil spirits at the pool causes the group to scatter and become divided. Jun, Professor Koutari, Midori, Tooru and Narumi wander the school trying to find Sara again, but instead meet Kumi, who has become an evil spirit. She possesses Tooru, but focuses most of her aggression on Professor Koutari, revealing that they were in a relationship until he dumped her. When Kumi attacks, Jun and Narumi are separated from the others. Narumi recalls that Sara's camera managed to drive off the spirit that attacked her before, and they decide to go looking for her.
As they search, Jun is tricked by spirits mimicking the appearances and voices of their companions. They lure him into an empty classroom and convince him that Narumi is an evil spirit. Under their influence, he backs her up against a sink and attempts to choke her to death. At that moment, all the taps come on at once, and the water drives the ghosts away. Jun returns to normal, and a child's hand rises from the water, indicating the numbers 3 and 2. Jun attempts to apologise for trying to strangle Narumi, but she reassures him that it wasn't his fault, and kisses him on the cheek, leaving him flustered. She suggests the spirit might have meant them to visit Classrom 3-2, and they set off that way together.
Sure enough, at Classroom 3-2 they meet Sara and the others. At first, an illusion cast by the necromancer makes Jun and Narumi appear in the form of evil spirits, but Sara's Spirit Stone Flashlight shows the reality. Shortly afterwards they are joined by Professor Koutari, Midori, Mozu and Tsugumi. Once everyone is reunited, they decide to visit the Photography Club Room for supplies.
The intensity of the ghost attacks escalate as the group moves on, and once again, Jun and Narumi are forced to split away from the main group. They find themselves wandering through an illusory graveyard. As they walk, Jun reveals that Karasawa Village was his mother's hometown, and she was most likely a student at Karasawa Elementary. He believes it is no coincidence that he has ended up here, and asks Narumi whether she has any similar connection to the area.
Almost as soon as he asks, he and Narumi hear a sound coming from somewhere deep in the graveyard. They find an old man seated in a clearing, and Narumi instantly recognises her grandfather, who died a decade ago. Jun warns her to beware of illusions, but Narumi pays no heed. Jun struggles to reach her, impeded by decaying hands rising from the ground, when Narumi's real grandfather appears in the form of a ragged skeleton. Narumi rejects the impostor, who resumes his true form as an evil spirit.
In moments, Jun and Narumi are surrounded by the dead, but Narumi is able to drive them back with a prayer and a special charm pendant her grandfather made for her. The illusion of the graveyard destroyed, they are returned to the school hallway once more. Narumi's grandfather warns them of a traitor in their group, who can be identified by the "mark of tarak", a Sanskrit letter.
They continue wandering in circles through the maze of the school. At Classroom 5-2, they find a class of young children who surround and cling to them, addressing them as teachers. It is not long before the children are revealed as evil spirits, but they are able to weaken Narumi, and her charm does not work to turn them back. Jun reaches for her hand as the two collapse, but just when all seems lost, Sara arrives, and purifies the spirits with her Camera Obscura. When Narumi still won't wake, Jun fears the worst, but Sara reassures him that she has only fainted. They uncover a riddle from the Necromancer hidden in one of the student desks, in the form of what appear to be children's kanji practice sheets. Jun attempts to help solve the riddle, but his lack of familiarity with the kanji for "squid" leads Sara and Narumi to wonder how he managed to get into college at all.
Narumi recognises the name on one of the sheets, Nana Ando, as the name of a girl who used to sit behind her in class, and with this clue, Sara uses the old seating chart to solve the puzzle. The solution tells them to look under the podium in the home economics room, but on the way there they stumble into another dark seal created by the Necromancer, inside the larger one already enveloping the school. In order to escape it and reach their destination, Sara says they will have to solve yet another riddle.
Meanwhile, Sara notices Jun and Narumi holding hands, but when Jun starts hinting that they have developed romantic feelings for each other, Narumi vehemently denies it and claims she is only making sure he won't get into any more trouble.
