Sara's Grandmother is a character in Fatal Frame: Shadow Priestess. She runs the Karasawa Shrine. The Camera Obscura originally belonged to her own grandmother, and she trained Sara in its use, as well as in her role as the future Shadow Priestess. Since her daughter, Sara's mother, died, she urges Sara to be cautious, especially when visiting Mount Kegare. Mozu and Tsugumi are her great-granddaughters, and are also skilled in dealing with spirits.

She has a strong sixth sense, and quickly realises that one of the members of Sara's party is in fact a necromancer, though she does not know who. She berates Sara for bringing such a person to the shrine and for allowing her sixth sense to fade in her time away from the village. She warns Sara that someone is certain to die.

That evening, Kumi goes missing. She is not in her room, but her clothes are still in the bathhouse where Sara and Beniko last saw her. Stuck to the window is a clump of hair, arranged in the shape of a Sanskrit character. Sara's grandmother recognises the symbol at once, and tells the group it is associated with the Bodhisattva Kokuzo, who is associated with memory and wisdom, and whose direction is north-east - the same direction as Karasawa Elementary. She says that if Kumi has gone missing, she is most likely at the school, but probably not alive.

Sara's grandmother does not visit Karasawa Elementary herself, but sends Mozu and Tsugumi along with the group to keep an eye on them. She is also able to appear in the school as some sort of spiritual manifestation or projection, and give Sara advice when she is having difficulties.
