Shizuka is Midori Hazawa's late grandmother. She once taught at Karasawa Elementary. She died when Midori was very young, but appears to Midori as an illusion drawn from buried memories. As the apparition speaks to her, Midori recalls things from her childhood that she had forgotten: playing cat's cradle with her grandmother and looking at photos of her from her teacher days. Sara exorcises the spirit and saves Midori from being trapped and spirited away.
