Takashi Saginomiya is a character in Fatal Frame: A Curse Affecting Only Girls. He is the younger brother of Taruho Saginomiya, a nun and teacher at Saint Loudun's Academy for Girls.

When Takashi was young, he was riding on a bicycle with his girlfriend when they were hit by a truck. Takashi was only injured, but the girl was killed, and her death left him so distraught he would not speak except to ask, "Where did she go?" All he had left of her was the pearl he had been planning to give her as an engagement ring, and every day he would visit her grave and pray for her return. His family never understood the cause of his grief. One day, Taruho, who harboured a twisted and possessive love for her brother, brought him a photo album that was used in an old Ghost Marriage rite, to ensure that two souls would be together in the afterlife. She would allow him to choose a ghost bride, but in return, she said she would not allow any woman near him in life. Takashi selected a photograph of a beautiful young girl to be placed next to his.

Soon after, answering some inner call, he went to the river, and found the girl from the photograph floating in the water. He named her Ophelia, and placed her in a glass coffin in the forest, along with the pearl he had intended to give to his girlfriend. Taruho was aware of what was happening, but because she considered a corpse little more than an object, she was not jealous.

In time, Takashi sensed that the girl he called Ophelia was waiting for somebody in particular. To serve her, he took the photographs that the academy students hung in the confessional, and placed them in the Ophelia Album instead. In this way, he hoped the girls would be summoned to her side, and she would eventually find the one she was waiting for.

However, Taruho misunderstood, and believed the girls who had been cursed were trying to come between Takashi and his true love. She tracked down the girls who had been spirited away while they were still between worlds, and brutally killed them by hacking off their heads and limbs.

Eventually, she tried to kill Michi, and was caught in the act by Mary. She and Takashi fled. After the curse was lifted, Takashi felt as if he could finally give up on the guilt he carried for his dead girlfriend. However, the sins Taruho committed still weighed on him, so he placed their photos side by side in the Ophelia Album, cursing them both. Together, they walked into the lake and drowned. Their bodies surfaced later, hand in hand.
