Since arriving on the island, my dizziness has gotten worse.
The air is stagnant here.
It hurts to breathe.
...And the smell of this place...
Sometimes a scent or music would trigger a memory I had forgotten.
Like the time Ruka played me that song she wrote...
They're not clear enough to call memories, really. Sometimes it’s a sensation, or a pain, or… Something vague I can’t put into words.
But this time it's different. Something big and dark is welling up inside of me.
Eventually it's going to break through into my mind.
We at least should have waited for Ruka to get here.

島についてから、
めまいが酷くなってきた。
空気が動いてない。
息が苦しい。
⋯ここのにおい。
いままでも、においとか音楽をきっかけに
忘れていたことを思い出すことがあった。
流歌が作った曲を聞かせてもらった時とか⋯。
思い出すといっても、はっきりじゃない。
感触とか、痛みとか⋯
とにかく言葉にできないような、
ぼんやりとしたもの。
でも、今回は違う。
大きくて黒いかたまりが体の奥から上がってくる。
いつか、私の頭の中に突き出してきそうで⋯
せめて、流歌が来るまで
待てばよかった。
