Asou Museum Kanji 麻生記念室　（あそう　きねん　しつ） Game Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Located at Rogetsu Hall Function Museum Status Deserted

A moderately sized room in Rogetsu Hall, that has been set up as a museum to the works of Dr. Kunihiko Asou. There are quite a number of Camera Obscuras under glass and on display, a desk with a typewriter, and various news clippings/personal notes by the famous folklorist/occultist. On the wall to the right of the door, there is also a faded picture of Asou himself. This is one of the first explorable areas of the hall for both Madoka and Ruka, who find the same Camera Obscura here.

It is also where the first ghost fight of Fatal Frame IV takes place.

In the remastered version of FF4, the information board at the entrance to the museum is fully legible in Japanese, though not translated into other languages. It reads:

この記念室は明治四十二年に麻生邦彦博士が朧月島を調査・研究された時に使用された旧・朧月館の部屋を移築したものです。	This commemorative room was moved from the room in the former Rogetsu Inn used by Dr. Kunihiko Asou during his research and study of Rogetsu Isle in 1909.
ここには麻生博士が朧月島に滞在された折に使用された身の回りの品や貴重な機具等が当時のまま保存されています。	The room preserves the personal effects and valuable equipment used by Dr. Asou during his stay on Rogetsu Island, as they were in those days.
独創的な学説で学会に波紋を呼んだ、博士の深遠な研究の世界を知るきっかけとなれば幸いです。	We hope that the museum will provide visitors with an opportunity to learn about the profound world of Dr. Asou's research, which caused a stir at academic conferences with its original theories.

Note on Spelling

• The surname Asou has been spelled both as 'Aso' and 'Asou' in the Fatal Frame Series. Zero Wiki has chosen to use the 'Asou' spelling for the surname, as that is the spelling that appears in game textures in Fatal Frame IV.
