But she will only be appeased when next the rite is performed.
According to legend, in order to seal the Vessel who blossomed on the previous Day of Tranquility, the Rite of Descent was performed once more.
I can't be certain, but I think that if the Vessel is brought back to the state she was in when she received the souls of the dead, her soul will return as well.
But what was missing from that Rite of Descent?
Something to appease a troubled soul...
To reverberate in it, and bring it peace...

すべてが失われ消え行く今になって
ようやくわかった。
私は宗悦の跡を懸命に追っていた。
宗悦と同じものを見、同じことを考え、
同じ行いをするうちに、
宗悦そのものになっていた⋯
そんな気がする。
皮肉なことに死の間際、
わずかな平明が戻ってきた。
次に帰来迎を行えば、咲いた朔夜は
その顔を面とし、
さらに大きく咲いてしまうだろう。
しかし、咲いた朔夜を鎮めるのは
再び帰来迎を行う時しかない。
伝承では、かつて無苦の日に咲いた器を
封じるために、今一度
帰来迎を行ったとある。
どのような意味かはわからないが、
たしかに死者の魂を受け入れた時と
同じ状況になれば、
器の魂も戻るかもしれない。
だが、あの帰来迎に
何かが足りなかったのだ⋯
あらぶる 魂を 鎮める何か⋯
魂に響き、安らぎを与える何かが⋯
