Kaoru Sendou was the elder twin of Kageri Sendo and an inhabitant of Rogetsu Isle. They were born into a prominent family on the island, but she appears to have had a troubled relationship with her sister. Kaoru was unable to walk because Kageri deliberately pushed her, and though the details are vague, notes mention Kageri making a confession which Kaoru refused. In her suicide note addressed to her sister, Kaoru says she understands she cannot escape Kageri no matter where she goes, and ends by praying for light to shine into Kageri's darkness.
After Kaoru's death, her sister made a doll in her image, called "Watashi", which she treated as though it were Kaoru.
