Yoriko Sonohara is a ghost in Fatal Frame IV. She is the first ghost fought in Fatal Frame IV.
Past
Yoriko had suffered one loss after another. Her mother died giving birth to her, and when she was a bit older, her brother and father both died an accident. Yoriko felt extremely guilty for being the only survivor, and her only comfort was her memories of the times they spent together. Later, she contracted Moonlight Syndrome, and was hospitalised at Rogetsu Hall. The disease progressed to the point where she forgot even her own name, but more distressing to her was the thought of losing the precious memories of her family. Rather than allow the disease to run its course, she took her own life by hanging herself in her room.
Fatal Frame IV
After the Day of Tranquility, Yoriko's spirit lingered in Rogetsu Hall and Haibara Infirmary, asking rare visitors to "give back" her name.[1] Madoka Tsukimori sees Yoriko standing at the window gazing at the moon, and Yoriko follows Madoka into the Asou Museum. Madoka fends her off with the Camera Obscura, but Yoriko reappears with several other patients, who surround Madoka as she collapses to the floor.
