The ghost of a young Moonlight Syndrome patient, encountered in Fatal Frame IV.
Like many Moonlight Syndrome patients, Kazuto became attached to external objects as a way to anchor his sense of self; unlike other patients, his fixations did not focus on a particular item or category of items, but manifested as general kleptomania. His room was cluttered with random objects stolen from all around the sanatorium, which he called "my things" regardless of their origin. The nurses were aware of his tendencies, and whenever a theft was reported they would attempt to retrieve the stolen item without him noticing.[1] In Phase I, Ruka tracks him down to retrieve a mask he has stolen from the dining room.

- Kazuto's room is #206 "Wizen Moon" (焦月, shougetsu; "scorching month").
- Fans have nicknamed this character 'Toshio' due to his similarity in appearance to the character from Juon (The Grudge).
