They were at the altar.

He was making her try on one after another. What if this is why she got sick...

He's changed.

The amount of time he spends holed up in his workshop is increasing by the day.

And when he does come home, it's as though something inexplicable drifts in behind him.

The shadows cast deep into his eyes are getting darker and darker. And yet that strange glimmer in their depths grows more brilliant every day.

I can feel a tinge of irritation in his voice when he speaks. Whatever he's striving towards, he never talks to us about it.

However, he's clearly giving the pursuit everything he has.

What is it that's driving him? When I think about that, my faith in him wavers. When this work is finished, will my Souya come back?

No... He won't.

He's changed too much. The Souya I know is gone.

I have to get Ruka away from him.

あの人の目に深く落ちた影が、
その暗さを増してきたように感じる。
でも、その奥で光る眼の異様な輝きは
日に日に増すばかり。

口走る言葉に焦燥の色が見える。
あの人が今、何を追い求めているのか、
決して私たちには話してくれない。

でも、あの人は明らかに
全てを捧げようとしている。

あの人を動かしているものは何？
それを想うと、あの人を信じる心が揺らぐ。
この作業が終わる時、
宗也さんは帰ってきてくれるのだろうか？

もう　帰ってこない

⋯そんな思いが脳裏をよぎる。

今のあの人は、私の知る宗也さんと
あまりに違う。

あの人から流歌を離さなければ。
