Isolation Ward Nurse
Template:FF4 Minor CharacterThis unnamed nurse was a member of staff at Haibara Hospital in Fatal Frame IV. She was in charge of the fourth floor and its sole patient, Sakuya Haibara. During her work she tried to keep Misaki and Sakuya apart, fearing the effect they might have on each other.[1]
Gradually she began to have doubts about her suitability for the job, because she was unable to remember what Sakuya looked like, no matter how hard she tried. When she looked at Sakuya's face in an attempt to memorise it, she felt as if she was losing pieces of her own identity.[2] After a while her mental state grew more unstable; she repeatedly tried to warn others about Sakuya's changing face, and called her a "faceless person".[3][4] She was seen pacing aimlessly in front of the barred door, and finally she burst into Sakuya's room and committed suicide in front of her.[4] Her body was discovered by staff including Shoji Katagiri, who noted that in spite of the mess in the room, Sakuya appeared unperturbed and continued to sit on her bed, smiling.
After the nurse's death, Director Haibara instructed Shie Sonosaki to take over duties on the fourth floor.
