Room 412

Kanji 氷月 (ひょうげつ)
Game Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
Located at Rogetsu Hall
Function Patient's room
Status Abandoned

Room 412 "Frozen Moon" is one of the patient rooms within Rogetsu Hall in Fatal Frame IV. It is named after the twelfth month in the old Japanese calendar, and the room sign bears the a paulownia design. Ten years before the events of the game, Room 412 was Sakuya Haibara's room. It is much larger than the other patients' rooms in Rogetsu Hall, and was designed specially for Sakuya,[1] when her illness became severe enough that she had to be isolated to protect other patients. The room even has a small glass area like a greenhouse or conservatory, where there are a few potted plants. Even though the room was designed to be luxurious, it had the atmosphere of a prison.[1] [2]

Like Ayako, Sakuya collected many dolls and displayed them in her room, though hers are intact. The dolls on the right-hand dresser are all arranged around an empty chair; the wooden dolls on the left-hand dresser are dressed in ceremonial clothes, and behind them is a photograph of the torii gate in the backyard of Haibara Infirmary under the full moon.

Notable Events
