Ryozo brought a projector with him and showed us the stream he once took us to a long time ago.
Without even thinking, I found myself looking straight into Sae's eyes. They were full of tears.
We didn't visit that stream for very long, but I still remember it well, even now.
It was nice and sunny. There was nothing else there; it felt like time had completely stopped.
And now there it was again, right in front of us.
Sae couldn't stop muttering to herself.
She kept saying it all looked so beautiful.
I found myself almost saying the same thing. Without a doubt, the world outside our village is a beautiful place.
Sae and I have renewed our promise countless times, the one we made on that day.
The promise that we would always be together.
And that one day we would go back to one of our favorite places, together.
So let's go, Sae, before we leave the village.
